The “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” star recently recalled Anna’s passing in an emotional interview, where she revealed the 29-year-old spent her last days at her home. Describing her final moments, Mama June said:

“He died at my and Justin’s house. Eldridge and the girls, and he stayed there three weeks and one day. [I was] hearing him scream my name at night, hearing his little oxygen cord spinning… He wouldn’t save his oxygen for anything.”

“The day before she died, Kaitlyn had helped us give [Anna] medicine – and he would only take it for Kaitlyn,” the mother of four continued, referring to daughter Anna. He also said the family made sure the deceased knew how much he was loved in his last days.

“The last thing we all made sure we said in the last few days… I can’t tell you how many times I said I love you,” Mama June confessed. Her daughter, Lauryn ‘Pumpkin’ Efird, echoed similar sentiments about her sister’s final moments and praised her for fighting painful cancer.

“He fought until the end. You can tell by the end that he is ready. He has finished. She was fighting as hard as she could, so I told her, ‘It’s okay, everybody’s here,’” Lauryn revealed.

Anna died surrounded by her family in Mama June’s living room, leaving behind two daughters and a grief-stricken lover. Describing her final battle with cancer, Lauryn added: “It must have happened quickly. It went from one to five years to 10 months very quickly.”

Regarding how Anna’s children are coping with her absence, Mama June stated that the eldest child is still processing her mother’s death. “I think Kaitlyn is still in shock. Unlike Kylee, Kaitlyn was there when Anna took her last breath,” he explained.

Lauryn said it must have been a difficult moment for the child because even adults didn’t know how to handle Anna’s final moments. “Everyone was screaming because we didn’t know what to do or anything,” he admitted, adding:

“I can’t imagine if that kept me up at night, I’m sure there were times when it definitely kept Kaitlyn up but teenagers wouldn’t say that. We always make sure to check on her, if she’s okay, tell her it’s okay to cry.”

There are good days and there are bad days

As for the grieving mother, June admits to experiencing good and bad days as “certain things I’ll do that remind me of her.” Despite the painful memories, the reality TV star insists that the family will continue to carry Anna in their hearts.

Lauryn also shared her pain, stating: “It sucks. Move on and… he’s not here really like f—s with you at the end of the day.” The 24-year-old said the family dealt with the situation by putting Anna’s children first and making sure they didn’t forget their mother’s love.

“We always remind them ‘your mom loves you, your mom is always there for you,'” Lauryn said in an interview with Daily Mail. Mama June was the first to break the news of Anna’s death, sharing a heartbreaking update in an Instagram post.

One can only imagine what the reality star must be feeling. May Anna’s soul rest in peace!
