In a devastating turn of events earlier this year, Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell, Mama June’s oldest daughter, was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. Cardwell and Mama June did not have much of a relationship and were reportedly working on it before she was diagnosed with stage 4 adrenal carcinoma.
The mother-daughter bond broke off about two years ago when Mama June dated McDaniel in 2021, which Cardwell didn’t approve of, but their relationship has grown to a better place over the years. Mama June has broken up with him and is now married to Justin Stroud, who is moving to Georgia with her.
