An Oregon man awaiting federal trial for allegedly kidnapping a Seattle sex worker and holding her in a cinder block cell has been charged in a similar case.
Negasi Zuberi, 29, was indicted last week on multiple felony charges, including first-degree rape, sexual assault, kidnapping and assault, NBC News reported, citing Klamath County court records.
The DA’s office declined to comment to the outlet about the new Oregon case, which was filed about a month after the alleged predator was charged with attempted escape and disorderly conduct in connection with his attempt to escape from prison.
The married father of two traveled about 450 miles from his home in Klamath Falls to Seattle on July 15, where he picked up a prostitute and lied about being an undercover cop, according to the FBI.

The sex worker claims Zuberi allegedly held a taser at her and tied her hands and feet in the backseat as they drove back to Oregon, where he allegedly held her in a makeshift cell he built in his garage.
He managed to escape when he opened the door until his hands were covered in blood before signaling passers-by to call the police.
Authorities located Zuberi in a Walmart parking lot in Reno, Nevada, on July 16. He surrendered after a 45-minute standoff, the feds said.

The suspects — who have gone by the aliases Justin Hyche, Justin Kouassi, and Negasi Sakima — have pleaded not guilty to charges of interstate kidnapping and interstate transportation of individuals with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity.
Zuberi and his wife, Alycia Westfall, appeared in a 2019 episode of Judge Judy.
Using the name Justin Hythe, he sued his wife after a domestic dispute and for damaging his suit with bleach.
