A suspect has been arrested for the shocking stabbing of a California man pushing his grandson in a stroller — as well as a similar attack on a teenager, with police investigating if they were racially motivated.
Angel Sanchez Jr., 29, of Santa Barbara, was arrested in Oxnard at 2:15 p.m. Wednesday for a videotaped attack on a 60-year-old Asian-American/Pacific Islander man in upscale Calabasas, the LA County Sheriff’s Department said. .

The attack happened around 5pm Tuesday in Calabasas – an upscale neighborhood home to many celebrities – as the suspect was driving a silver 2005 Honda Odyssey with a Nevada license plate, police said.

The victim was seen clutching the handlebars of the stroller as his body swayed against the impact.
The assailant jumped into his vehicle and sped off while the man and his grandson fell to the ground.

Neighbor Mary Steele said the victim was a “very good member of the community” who had a “beautiful home.”
“People know who he is and the baby is an innocent victim,” he told KTLA.
The victim reportedly did not suffer serious injuries.
