A hotel guest in Las Vegas claims he was bitten by a scorpion while sleeping in his room.
The victim, Michael Farchi, told the news outlet that he felt like he was stabbed in his private area when it happened. He is now considering taking legal action against the hotel.

On December 26, Farchi was sleeping in his room at the Venetian Las Vegas when he felt a sharp, stabbing pain in his testicles.
“I just felt like someone stabbed me in my private area,” the California resident described the feeling in an interview with KLAS. “It feels like sharp glass or a knife.”
The pain jolted him from his sleep, and he quickly headed for the bathroom. When he got there, he received the shock of his life when he found a scorpion “hanging” in his underwear.
Shocked by surprise, Farchi claims that he didn’t ask at all how the incident could enter the room, climb under his blanket, and get stuck in his underwear. However, when he tells his story, it seems like no one wants to believe him.
“Everyone was shocked. No one believes, not even me,” Farchi told the news channel.
Victims Are Considering Legal Action
Following the incident, Farchi filed a medical incident report with the hotel, saying, “I was bitten by a scorpion on my groin/testicles.” He went on to state that he was in “a lot of pain” when asked what his injuries were.
As part of the report, Farchi also noted his injured body part on a sketch of the human body.
Farchi is now considering legal action against the hotel, according to his lawyer, Brian Virag.
“When you check into a hotel, you expect to be safe,” Virag said in a statement to the outlet.
He added, “I’m sure the Venetian, like every major hotel, has policies and procedures to try to avoid things like this. However, it is one thing to have policies and procedures; it’s another thing to make sure they’re followed.”
Meanwhile, the hotel, which rents out their rooms for between $250 and $2500, claims that all procedures were followed after the incident.

Farchi’s stinging scorpion is said to be the Arizona bark scorpion, which is known for its strikingly different colors. They are native to the Sonoran Desert in the southwestern United States, with males growing eight centimeters long while females can reach up to seven centimeters.
According to medical reports, scorpion stings are rarely life-threatening but can cause a lot of pain, which can last more than 24 hours. With the sting site being Farchi’s testicles, it was no wonder he was in so much pain as that part of the body contained many sensitive nerves.
Aside from severe pain, some of the symptoms that can also come from a scorpion bite include numbness, tingling, and nausea.
