Manav Gohil is an Indian actor. He is best known for playing the role of ‘Vikram’ in the TV serial, “Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii” (2000-2001).

Manav Gohil was born on Saturday, 9 November 1974 (age 46 years; as in 2020) in Surendranagar, Gujarat. His zodiac sign is Scorpio. Manav did his schooling from Gujarat’s Baroda High School. Thereafter, he went on to pursue Bachelor of Commerce and MBA from Vadodara.
After MBA, Manav started a marketing consultancy firm. He used to train company recruits on how to sell their products. Subsequently, Manav participated in a pageant in Ahemdabad, and he was crowned, “Man of Gujarat.” Thereafter, he moved to Mumbai and started giving auditions for films and TV serials. While in Mumbai, Manav learnt acting from Kishor Namit Kapoor’s acting studio. Subsequently, Gohil participated in plays like ‘Kennedy Bridge’ by Khalid Mohammed and ‘Lady from the ocean’ by Illa Arun.

Career
Manav Gohil started his acting career in 2000 by playing an episodic role in the TV series, “C.A.T.S.” He, then, played a supporting role in the TV serial, “Choodiyan.” Subsequently, he appeared in TV serials like “Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii,” “Kkusum,” and “Kasautii Zindagii Kay.”
In 2003, he played the role of ‘Dhruv’ in the TV serial, “Kahani Terrii Merrii.” Thereafter, he appeared in TV serials like “Manshaa,” “Ayushmaan,” “Saarrthi,” “Naaginn,” “Tenali Rama,” “RadhaKrishn,” and “Kesari Nandan.” He has also hosted the TV show, “Fame Gurukul” along with Mandira Bedi.
In 2006, Manav participated in the dance reality show, “Nach Baliye 2” along with his wife, Shweta Kawatra.
Manav has featured in the TV advertisements of many popular brands like Honda Amaze, Volkswagen, ICICI, and Mahindra. He has even walked the ramp for various fashion shows.
He made his film debut in 2013 with the Gujarati film, “Saptapadii.” Subsequenty, he did a cameo in the Punjabi film, “Love Yoou Soniye.” Manav has also played small roles in the Bollywood films, “Super 30” and “Baaghi 3.”
Controversy
In 2006, it was alleged by the media that Manav and his wife, Shweta Kawatra had distributed 200 SIM cards to their family and friends in order to garner more votes for the dance reality show, “Nach Baliye 2.” There were rumours that they had purchased pre-paid SIM cards from a dealer in Andheri and got them registered in the names of the dealer’s staff. However, later, the couple refuted the rumours and said that those stories were cooked up just to ruin their chances of winning the show.
