Before being fired, Rose competed on the NXT roster and held the NXT women’s title for over 400 days. She lost her crown to rookie wrestling star Roxanne Perez the day before being fired by WWE. Shortly after Rose was fired, her former Absolution partner, Saraya, took to social media to show her support and reaction to the news. Former WWE CEO Vince McCahon was instrumental in banning WWE wrestlers from using their names and likenesses on third-party platforms.

WWE Bans Wrestlers From Third Party Platforms

Rose’s content is especially problematic because of the 2020 decision by WWE to ban all wrestlers from using their name and likeness on any third-party platform in a way that could harm the company. The decision was driven by Vince McMahon, the CEO and Chairman of the wrestling company at the time.
In a statement released by the company, WWE explained the ban as a way to protect its intellectual property and give all wrestlers 30 days to end their activity on the third-party platform. It also states that continued violations will be subject to fines, suspension or termination at the company’s discretion.
The statement was partially read per Sun“It is the control and exploitation of these characters that allows WWE to drive revenue, which in turn allows the company to compensate players at the highest levels of the sports entertainment industry.”
