Manish Rishi is an Indian actor, who mostly works in the Kannada film industry. He gained attention by playing the role of Paramesh “Parmy” in the Kannada crime comedy film Operation Alamelamma (2017).

Manish Rishi (Rishi), originally known as Monish Nagaraj was born on Tuesday, 21 June 1988 (age 35 years; in 2023) in Bangalore. His zodiac sign is Gemini. Although he was born in Bangalore, he grew up in Mysore, Karnataka. He received his primary education at St. Joseph in Mysore and completed the Pre-University course at Marimallappa College. After that, he graduated in Civil Engineering from Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering, Mysore. He used to do theater while he was pursuing his engineering. He took responsibility for the college’s dramatic team and at the same time continued to work as a Radio Jockey in his spare time.

Before venturing into the entertainment industry, Manish Rishi got a job in a company through a campus placement. He worked as an engineer in a company for a few months before stepping into the world of entertainment. At the same time, he worked as a Radio Jockey.

Controversy
Allegation for Assaulting Aunt
In 2018, Manish Rishi was accused of assaulting his aunt, Shalini Gurumurthy, his mother’s sister over an inheritance dispute. His aunt filed a police complaint at the Basaveshwaranagar police station, accusing the actor of assaulting her and threatening to kill her over a dispute over the property. According to sources, Shalini Gurumurthy is physically challenged and in her complaint, she stated that the actor tried to kill her by strangulation. Not only that, he also claimed that his parents were too involved in the attack. According to reports, Gurumurthy went to Basaveshwaranagar to visit his ailing father who was staying with Manish Rishi and his family. When she visits their place, Rishi tries to stop her at the entrance and brings documents and asks her to sign forcibly before entering the house and meeting her father. He told the media that he did not sign any document and wanted his father to come and ask him to sign the document regarding the property dispute.
However, Manish claimed that it was just a trick of his aunt to tarnish his image in the society. He denied all the allegations and said that every story was being cooked up by his aunt for money.

- Before the shooting of the film Operation Alamelamma, directors Suni and Rishi were supposed to work on another film but it did not work out.
- Manish Rishi played the role of a vegetable auctioneer in the movie Operation Alamelamma. In an interview, he shared an incident where director Suni woke up Rishi at 4;30 am and took him to a vegetable market near Yeshwathpur. At that time in the morning the vegetable auction took place. Suni wants to give Rishi hands-on experience so that Rishi can play a realistic role of a vegetable auctioneer in the film.
