Manjari Fadnis (also spelled Phadnis and Fadnnis) was born on Tuesday, 10 July 1984 (age 38; in 2022) in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh. His father, Bharat Kumar Fadnis, served in the Indian Army as he grew up in different parts of India including Shimla, Jammu, Delhi, Mumbai, and his hometown Pune.
He studied at St. Anne High School, Fort, Mumbai, India. Later, he studied Sociology at Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). Since none of his family members came from the entertainment industry, they were initially hesitant to allow him to enter Bollywood. According to Manjari Fadnis, after entering the world of entertainment, she faced many difficulties, and she lost many projects after she rejected the offers of many famous producers who asked her to “compromise.” According to Manjari Fadnis, she had to start her acting career with low-budget films, which did not do well at the box office; however, he did not give up, and he eventually got a proposal for a big-budget South Indian film.

His father, Bharat Kumar Fadnis, served as an Indian Army Officer. His transferable job gave him the opportunity to travel throughout his service in the Indian Army with his only brother, Gagan Fadnis, and his mother, Ruchi Fadnis, who was a homemaker.

In 2004, she made her debut with the Bollywood film ‘Rok Sako To Rok Lo’ as Suhana. He made his Bengali film debut with the film ‘Faltu’ (2006) in which he played the role of Tuktuki; the film won the National Award. Later, she appeared in the Bollywood film ‘Mumbai Salsa’ (2007) where she played the role of Maya Chandhok. In 2008, he made his Telugu debut with the film ‘Siddu From Sikakulam’ in which he appeared as Sailaja Reddy. In 2009, she made her Tamil film debut with the film Muthirai as Aarthi. She made her Kannada debut with the film ‘Munjane’ (2012) as Pavithra. In 2014, he made his Malayalam debut with the film ‘Mr. Deception” where she played the role of Priya. The 2008 Bollywood film ‘Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na’ is considered to be her breakthrough film in which she played the role of Meghna Pariyar. In 2015, she appeared in the Bollywood film ‘Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon.’
Being a part of films in different languages, Manjari Fadnis, in an interview, admitted that language has never been a barrier to her career, and she would also like to be a part of films in other languages. He said,
If I get a good script and role, I would also like to do a Marathi film. If I can make Bengali, Tamil and Telugu gilms, why not Marathi. Language has never been a problem with me. Bengali is easier to understand. But, Telugu and Tamil are difficult.”
