Almost immediately after Halloween ended, Carey took to social media to proclaim “It’s About Time!” November 1st marks the beginning of “Mariah SZN” and fans are ready for it!
This year’s video is full of fan jokes about the diva’s “thaw” leading up to November 1st. Simply captioned, “It’s…… TIME!!! ??? #MariahSZN,” viewers saw Carey in her holiday outfit in a block of ice with a Halloween character using a hair dryer to help the holiday queen kick off her favorite season. Just as the ice started to melt, she released his famous belt, “TIBA MASAEEEE!” only the way Carey can.
After being freed from the block of ice, the holiday celebration begins with her twins, Monroe and Morocco, 12, joining in the holiday fun.
The video was shared on Carey’s social media page and in just a few hours, had more than 17 million views on TikTok and almost 600,000 on Instagram.
“The way she admits to a meme that freezes and thaws, ack, live for this, queen,” wrote one person on TikTok. Another added, “I’m literally waiting for this video before I can sleep.”
On Instagram, the thinking is the same.
“November 1st should be a public holiday at this point in honor of Mariah’s annual announcement,” wrote one.
“Stayed up until midnight just for this,” wrote another.
Last year to celebrate the occasion, Carey shared a video dressed as a Halloween witch riding the Peloton with spooky themed music playing as she laughed. When the calendar turns from October 31st to November 1st, he suddenly transforms into his Christmas persona with “All I Want For Christmas Is You” playing in the background. He, of course, showed his icon, “It’s About Time!”

While we all know Carey can’t wait for the holiday season, she fully embraced Halloween before her transformation into “Mariah SZN.” This year for Halloween, she dressed up as two iconic characters – Jessica Rabbit and Regina George from “Mean Girls.”
She first shared her take on Jessica Rabbit on Instagram with the caption, “Happy Halloween! ? #notyet.”
Most of the comments were about “unfreezing” and loading his “It’s Arrived” video.
“She’s almost completely melted,” wrote one. Another said, “Is it time? Is it time? Is it time?”
And then there’s the commentary on her iconic appearance as Jessica Rabbit.
“I’M NOT EVIL… I’M JUST PORTRAITED LIKE THAT,” wrote one. Another added, “Hands down YOU WIN!! the queen of everything.”
Then came the costume change when Carey transformed into Regina George from the movie “Mean Girls.” The comments section does not disappoint with quotes from the film.
“One time Mariah punched me in the face. It’s great!” a viewer wrote.
“This one time I saw Mariah wearing high heels and a dress to the pool… so I wore high heels and a dress to the pool,” added another.
Another viewer shared a quote from the film adding to the personalized ending by saying, “’So You Agree, You Think You’re Really Beautiful.’ Cuz Mariah, I think you’re Gorgeous!???” And another said, “Whatever. I got cheese fries.”
But of course, many in the comments section waited patiently for the clock to strike midnight so Carey could completely thaw out and begin the holiday season. “ITS TIMEEEE MARIAHHHH,” one fan wrote, and the wait is now over.
