Explaining how her love for the festive season came about, Carey said, “Honey, look, I know a lot of times people say, ‘Oh, yay! Look at her! She’s so festive and a Christmas girl,’ or whatever. But really, Christmas makes me happy.”

The Guinness World Record-breaker recalls his challenging childhood experiences, crediting them as the reason for his love for the festive period. In his words, “But when you grow up with a chaotic life, and then you can experience this transformation where you can make your life the way you want it to be? That was a joy for me.”

“That’s why I want my children to have everything they can have. I want them to understand they can be anything they want to be.” The record producer further explained the Christmas album he was releasing. He said the idea came from his record company when he started his career.

“It was very early in my career, and I thought it was a little early for me to do it, but I was like, ‘Well, I love Christmas,'” he explained. “I had some very sad Christmases as a child, but I always tried to find a bright light there.”
