Career
In January 1975, Colvin joined ABC’s rock music station, Double Jay. Later, he became the first reporter of ‘Nationwide’. In 1980, he was also assigned as a foreign correspondent in London. He was also the first broadcaster of ‘The World Today’ on ABC radio. He also worked as a reporter for ‘Four Corners’ from 1988 to 1992.

On March 22, 2013, he underwent a kidney transplant from a living donor. He died on 11 May 2017, aged 65, at the Prince of Wales Hospital. Granulomatosis with polyangiitis is the cause of death. Colvin survived a kidney transplant, although he later developed melanoma. He was also diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer.
