The band, which formed in Ireland in the early 2000s, posted Sheehan’s passing on their band’s Facebook page and IG account. “Beloved husband, father, brother, bandmate, and friend Mark Sheehan passed away today in hospital after a brief illness. The family and band ask fans to respect their privacy at this tragic time.”
They also shared a photo of the guitarist who celebrated his 46th birthday late last year while possibly battling illness. The news came as a surprise, considering the band posted three days ago that they were “getting ready to go on tour” and asked their followers, “What shows are you going to?”
One follower pointed out that Sheehan was not present at the time, and another wrote, “Can someone give us an update on Mark?” Unfortunately, we have the answer.
Mark Sheehan Has Three Children

Sheehan lives in the US with his wife, Rina, and three children, Cameron, Avery, and Lil. In 2008 in an interview with The Mirror, he told about Rina, whom he met while visiting Texas.
“I produce and work in different studios, and he is a studio session singer and a backing singer. And we just click the normal way you do. We got married three years ago and now have baby number one on the way.”
Suspicions about Sheehan’s absence began to swirl when he did not appear on the band’s last US tour. Bandmate Danny O’Donoghue spoke about the decision to the Sunday World. “It’s his story to tell, but yes, I think if I can elaborate, his children need a father, and his wife needs a husband.”
He continued, “He’s been the engine of The Script for a long time, [I told him] that ‘if you want to spend some time with your family, you are most welcome, and I urge you to go and do it. He took some time. You will be refreshed and come back with a new zest for life. And I believe it’s the best thing that could happen to all of us.”
Mark Sheehan Is Also A Writer

The guitarist and O’Donoghue are also writing partners and have written hits for Josh Groban, Britney Spears, Keisha Chanté, and Aaron Carter. O’Donoghue also referred to Sheehan as “the perfect songwriting partner.”
They also kept some hits for themselves, such as “Break Even,” “The Man Who Can’t Be Moved,” “Hall of Fame” and “For the First Time.” as we mentioned above, the group will be back on tour, and they are the support act for P! nk on her summer tour starting in June.
It is not clear what the plan is, but three days ago they confirmed that they are visiting, it could still be a situation to honor Mark!
