HBO has dangled Group carrot reboot in front of fans for years, and now Wahlberg has some words about the possible reboot and how he wants to be involved.
“I don’t know if that’s going to happen, but I’m going to support it,” he said on the red carpet at the grand opening of Tao’s Cathédrale restaurant at Aria Resort & Casino Las Vegas.
Wahlberg admitted Page Six that the show’s ending affected him. “I’m always sad to see a show end. As for new information about the show possibly coming back, he said he’s not sure about the conversation surrounding the reboot, and that no one has talked to him specifically about it yet.

The actress believes that the man “does an amazing job” and that he “loves” everything Group. The show stars Adrian Grenier (Vincent Chase), Kevin Connolly (Eric “E” Murphy), Jeremy Piven (Ari Gold), Jerry Ferrara (Turtle), and Kevin Dillon (Jonny “Drama” Chase) and focuses on a group of friends try t rush through Hollywood.
Wahlberg shared that it is semi-autobiographical and about his early days in Hollywood with his friends, cousins and brother. The show ran for eight seasons and also had a reunion movie. The Ted the actor admits that in the past, when he tried to continue the show, he did a lot to attract the actor.
“Before we shot the pilot, I took all the guys to Vegas… It was a little chemistry thing, getting ready to come and let loose,” Wahlberg, who moved to Las Vegas last year, told us. “It seems like only yesterday, and now I’m living here.”

Wahlberg also shared his ideas for what the show could look like when it returns. “It seems like the older guys are probably doing things more like me, going to church and, you know, hopefully having a family and getting up early and working out,” he joked.
“Maybe not as interesting as when they were running nightclubs and running around Vegas.” Reboot rumors have been around since 2021,
Creator Doug Elin tweeted, “We got a new show with a lot of them. Soon I hope #rambleon.” He later tweeted that he needed Wahlberg in the project, or it wouldn’t be right. And so far, the likes of Grenier, Piven, and Dillon all agree that they’re in it, and also want to explore these characters as older men and where they land at the height of their friends’ fame.

Meanwhile, Wahlberg is busy with other business ventures; his tequila brand, Flecha Azul. “They have created something very authentic to their culture and to be a part of them and give them the recognition they deserve, but also to be able to introduce it to the mass market and to work with them on something is very exciting to me.”
