Mark Wahlberg Won’t Judge Ozempic Users But Prefers The ‘Good Old-Fashioned Way’

Mark Wahlberg has shared his honest opinion about the weight loss craze while using Ozempic.

Although she has been widely recognized for her intense exercise and diet routine, the three-time Screen Actors Guild Award winner has revealed that she is not a fan of using diabetes medication to lose weight. With his input, he has joined a long list of celebrities, including Jameela Jamil and Anthony Anderson, who have spoken out against the controversial Hollywood craze.

Mark Wahlberg Refuses to Judge Ozempic Users Even though He Doesn’t Approve of Their Use

The conversation surrounding the use of Ozempic by celebrities to lose unwanted weight has become more and more popular. The latest person to join the topic is Wahlberg, who revealed his stance during the Cathédrale grand opening at the Aria Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas over the weekend. Speaking exclusively to Page SixThe “I Heart Huckabees” cast stated:

“To each his own, but I encourage people to eat right and exercise. It is much more [of] lifestyle change. You’ll be surprised what you can achieve when you’re willing to put in the work.”

The father of four explained that he prefers to maintain his health “the good old way” because it is the “most sustainable” option. He also stated that going that route would give people the “longevity” they wanted to keep the weight off.

While not cool with people using Ozempic for weight loss, the “We Own the Night” star made sure her users didn’t feel judged by it. In his words:

“Everyone has their own direction. I’m not knocking anyone for making their own choices. But I’d rather — and I’ve seen a lot of people achieve amazing things, ordinary people do extraordinary things based on fitness, and they’re now encouraging other people who look like them. That’s what I’m interested in.”

Aside from encouraging people to stick to the “old fashioned” approach to losing weight, Wahlberg has proven that he’ll do anything for his family. For starters, The Blast reported earlier this month that she revealed that her children were the main reason her family moved from Los Angeles to Las Vegas.

“I spent a lot of time in LA pursuing my passion and my career, and now it’s time for them to pursue theirs,” the “Pain & Gain” star revealed at the time, adding, “Everybody thrives there; it’s really good” during a separate interview.

She reveals she wants to give her children – Ella Rae, Brendan, Grace Margaret, and Michael – “a better life and follow and pursue their dreams.” “Whether it’s my daughter as a horse rider, my son as a basketball player, my son as a golfer – it makes more sense for us,” explained the doting dad.

Anthony Anderson Reiterate That Ozempic Is For Diabetes Treatment Early This Year

When Anderson attended the annual Big Game Giving Event in February, he made sure that he used the opportunity to touch on the topic of Ozempic. The issue has been of great concern to the actor since he suffered from Type 2 diabetes for over two decades following his diagnosis in 2002.

According to The Blast, he declared that Hollywood’s Ozempic celebration “creates a shortage” for people like him who need the drug for their health and “not for weight loss issues.” Unfortunately for comedians and other Type 2 diabetics, the drug was recently approved as Wegovy, focusing on the promotion of weight loss and treatment for obesity.

However, both drugs are said to be in short supply via the US Food and Drug Administration website. The shortage has doubled Anderson’s dedication to bringing awareness to the disease. For that, he has used his appointment as an ambassador for the “Get Real About Diabetes” campaign of the pharmaceutical company Novo Nordisk to convey his message to the whole world.

He also dedicated an episode of the popular ABC series, “Black-ish,” to an episode of the diagnosis of Type 2 diabetes. In one of the conversations about his life after his diagnosis, the winner of the Central Ohio Film Critics Association said:

“It changed my life. It slowed me down a little bit just so I could figure out what it was, what step I needed to take next. And I want to know what to do to stay healthy, live with this disease, and not die from it.”
