Career
In 2009, Martín began his film career by starring as Leo in the film Leo’s Room (El Cuarto DE Leo). The film was directed by Enrique Buchichio. The film premiered at the San Sebastián International Film Festival. Martín plays Leo, a young man who explores his sexual orientation and accepts himself. His performance won numerous awards, such as Best Actor and Best Actor from the Uruguayan Film Critics Association, as well as Best Actor at the festivals in Ibiza, Spain and Luna, Spain.
Later, Martín appeared in several films and short films such as San Martín: El Cruce de Los Andes as General Miguel Soler, Los dinosaurios ya no viven aquí and The Name of All the Animals.
In 2014, Martín played Jorge in the film “Zanahoria,” directed by Enrique Buchichio where the film received the top prize, Colón DE Oro, at the 40th edition of the Ibero-American Film Festival in Huelva, Spain.
After gaining popularity in Uruguayan Films, Martín got the opportunity to play the lead role in the American crime drama television series Griselda as Rivi released on January 24, 2024, on Netflix.
