Marzi Pestonji is a graduate in Commerce from the University of Mumbai. She was always interested in learning to dance. During her schooling, she enrolled herself in the Shiamak Davar Dance Academy, and since then, she has been an integral part of the academy. He started assisting Shiamak in Bollywood dances and other events as an assistant choreographer.
She made her TV debut with Dance India Dance (DID) Doubles (2011) with choreographers Geeta Kapoor and Rajeev Surti. She got a lot of attention because of her cute actions during the show.
