Masoom Minawala was born on 17 December in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Her zodiac sign is Sagittarius. She did her schooling from Mumbai’s Bombay Scottish School. She was a tomboy in her school days. Masoom actively participated in sports in her school days and was the captain of her school’s football team. Minawala went to H. R. College of Commerce & Economics to pursue B.Com. Thereafter, she enrolled herself for a diploma course in arts. However, she did not like the environment there and after a month dropped out of the course. Soon, she landed a marketing internship with Brand Marketing India. Later, she did internships at big companies, like Calvin Klein. Minawala started her career as a fashion blogger. In 2010, she founded the fashion portal, Miss Style Fiesta encompassing personal outfits, inspirations, trend reports and daily low-down of what’s happening in the style circuit. Subsequently, she started creating digital content for world’s leading fashion, luxury, beauty, travel, and lifestyle brands. Minawala has done paid-partnerships with brands like Jimmy Choo, Yves Saint Laurent, Dior, Hakkasan, Gucci, Stella McCartney, Jo Malone, Estee Lauder, and Rawpressery. Her work has been appreciated by numerous national and international publications, including Vogue, Cosmopolitan, and CNN.
In 2013, she founded Fashion Jobs India, a platform for the fashion job seekers and fashion employers.
Philanthropy
Minawala has joined a global campaign with Clarins and Grazia to raise funds for the UN’s National School Feeding Programme. She uses her blog, Miss Style Fiesta, as a platform to empower women. Masoom has also created a #WomenInBusiness series on social media in which she shares her personal tips and anecdotes for women empowerment. In 2018, Minawala officially published a series of content to promote mental, physical, and spiritual health. She joined hands with Dharma Bharathi Mission, a Mumbai based NGO to provide food to low-income groups who were massively affected by COVID-19 in 2020.
