Ship tracking data from LSEG shows a Singapore-flagged container ship named Dali was at the location along the Main Bridge where the accident occurred. The registered owner of the vessel is reported to be Grace Ocean Pte Ltd., which is managed by Synergy Marine Group.
Synergy Marine Corp confirmed Dali caused the tragic incident after colliding with one of the bridge pillars. Fortunately, all of its crew, including the two pilots, were accounted for, and there were no reports of any injuries.
Baltimore Mayor Brendon Scott also addressed the situation at the X. He explained that he was aware of the incident and was on his way to the bridge. “Emergency personnel are at the scene, and efforts are underway,” he said write.
