Mass. mom Lindsay Clancy researched ‘ways to kill’ before allegedly murdering 3 kids: reports

Massachusetts mother Lindsay Clancy was looking for “a way to kill,” before she strangled her three children to death earlier this year, court records allege.

The latest details in the brutal murder of the 33-year-old mother were revealed in a newly opened search warrant affidavit.

“Ms. Clancy used her cell phone and her journal to document her mental state and her feelings about her children, in addition to keeping track of her medications, and researching ways to kill, which means that [it] it is reasonable to conclude that Ms. Clancy would use all formats and tools available to her including tablets,” an affidavit said, according to the Boston Globe.

Clancy is accused of using an exercise rope to strangle her three children – Cora, 5, Dawson, 3 and 8-month-old Callan – inside the Duxbury home she shared with her husband in January.

The new court documents do not specify specific internet searches, the newspaper reported.

The affidavit was used by authorities to request access to Clancy’s electronic devices, including his cell phone, tablet and laptop, the Boston Herald reported.

Clancy, who her lawyer says suffered from postpartum psychosis, jumped from a second-story window following the attack on her three children, but survived the jump.

Prosecutors alleged that Clancy planned the murders of her three children on January 24, while her defense team insisted she suffered from mental health problems and was given an overdose of psychiatric medication.

Clancy, who works as a maternity nurse, remains in a medical facility with a new hearing in Plymouth High Court set for Thursday.
