Master P and Snoop Dogg Are Selling ‘Snoop Cereal’ At Grocery Stores This Summer!
The name Broadus Foods is derived from Snoop’s birth name, Calvin Broadus, and may be the brand’s biggest deal to date. Master P and Snoop Dogg signed a deal with Post so the brand could debut its breakfast cereal.
Snoop Cereal will come in three flavors, including Fruity Hoopez with Mashmallows, Frosted Drizzler and Cinnamon Toasteez. The sweet cereal is expected to hit major retailers this summer and is designed to appeal to fans young and old.
In addition to great taste, the brand also gives consumers the opportunity to help those in need. Broadus Foods donates a portion of the proceeds from each sale to charities focused on addressing food insecurity and homelessness.
Broadus Foods Will Expand To Oatmeal And Granola Too!
In a new interview with The Kitchen, Master P didn’t shy away from holding back on his big plans for the company, revealing that they’ll be creating a line of breakfast foods with Post, which will include oatmeal and granola.
“Having a deal with Post is very important because when you look at African Americans, we don’t have products on these shelves,” he explained. “We buy a lot of these products, but don’t really have our own products, so it’s a blessing to be able to have our own products on the shelves.”

“I grew up eating cereal through the WIC program, so for me and Snoop to be able to have our own brand of cereal in this store — and also for a great cause — it’s a blessing. It really is bigger than a grain. We call ourselves the ‘King of Breakfast Foods,” he added.
They will definitely be the ‘Kings of Breakfast Foods’ soon, as revealed by Master P, “You will be able to get cereal, oats, and then granola will come. We are definitely growing and growing.”
He also praised Post, saying that the brand is “the only company that has stepped up and said that they’re serious about diversity and serious about helping African Americans own companies and get their products into stores across the country. That’s what I love about partnerships. that Snoop and I have with the Post — it’s all about building a family brand.”
“When you look at Broadus Foods, it’s bigger than cereal. That’s Snoop’s last name. When you look at Post, that’s the family name too,” he explained. “So, we want to educate our people and our culture for those who want to listen. This is bigger than any music deal I’ve ever done. This is bigger than anything.”
“Even if we sell 100 million records, these are always on the shelf and are constantly being replaced. Some of these companies have been around for over 100 years and they are able to put money back into their communities and culture,” he added. “We want to be able to do the same.
Master P Has Advice For Those Who Want To Enter The Food Industry!
When asked if he had any advice for those wanting to get involved in the food industry, Master P replied, “I want to tell people that it won’t be easy. It will take a lot of hard work, but it’s all about consistency. Even though people look at our packaging … you can have nice packaging, but at the end of the day, it’s what’s inside.”
“This food must be delicious. That’s what will make people want to come back and keep buying the product. So, consistency and also, quality, and taste are the most important things when you try to get a product on these shelves,” he added before mentioning that new brands often face many difficulties.
“In order to get your product on the shelf, they have to produce other people’s products that they already have all these relationships with,” he explained. “So you’re going against the grain, and you have to be 10 steps ahead of them. You must play chess and not checkers. And, we need to learn how to work together to succeed.”
