Matt Besler led Blue Valley West to a state title in his young career. He scored 23 goals and assisted 19 others for his squad. Matt also played college football, which is how he became famous. He then joined the Kansas City Wizards and made his debut in March 2009. On March 26, 2011, Matt scored his first goal against the Chicago Fire. Matt was approached by Southampton and Birmingham City, but he chose to stay with Kansas City. On 29 January 2013, he made his senior debut against Canada in a friendly match.
