Matthew Perry’s shocking death reportedly occurred after playing a popular game and exercising, and no drugs were found at the scene.

According to sources close to the investigation, Perry apparently engaged in a long pickleball game after which he sent his assistant on an errand.

After returning home, the assistant found Perry unresponsive in the jacuzzi and dialed 911. As we said, the first responders who arrived on the scene, claimed no drugs were found in the area.

As we reported, “Friends” star Matthew Perry died at the age of 54. Transmission audio, obtained by Explosion confirmed a call from inside his home was reported as “drowning.” In the audio, dispatchers are advising paramedics of what happened at the scene.

In an interview with New York Times in 2022, the “Fools Rush In” actor discussed his long battle with substance abuse. He revealed that his addiction began in his younger years with alcohol before moving on to more complex substances such as Vicodin, OxyContin, and Xanax.

To feed his addiction, the actor admitted to seeing eight doctors at once to get many prescriptions for the same drug. Perry also shared that he “probably spent $9 million or something to get sober.”

However, Perry’s years of substance abuse came to a head in 2018 when he was hospitalized with pneumonia, an exploding colon and other serious health issues. After spending two weeks in a coma and nine months with a colostomy bag, he underwent more than a dozen abdominal surgeries.

Perry wrote her memoir as part of her recovery and said that the emotions “poured out of me — the painful things, the hospital, the rehab, all these things — it poured out of me. It went fast.”
