While promoting her 2022 memoir “Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing,” Perry opened up about her drug and alcohol addiction, explaining that it’s the reason she can’t watch the hit sitcom — because it’s a trigger.
“[I] can’t watch the show because I’m so thin,” she admitted.
“Because I can drink, opiates, drink, cocaine. I can distinguish season after season by the way I look,” he continued. “That’s why I don’t want to watch it because that’s what I see.”

After the cast learned of Perry’s tragic passing, the five co-stars released a statement, expressing how much she meant to each of them.
“We are all very disappointed by the loss of Matthew. We are more than just an acting couple. We are a family,” their statement reads. “There is much to say, but for now we will take some time to grieve and process this unexpected loss.”
The actor continued by stating, “In time we will say more, when we can. At this time, our thoughts and love are with Matty’s family, his friends, and everyone who loved him around the world.”
The message was signed by Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer.

Ahead of their 2021 “Friends” reunion, the cast talked about the number one rule they’ve followed throughout filming.
“There’s a rule we have, it’s very important to the six of us, that we maintain our friendship; that we are friends. The late actor later admitted, “When I die, I don’t want ‘Friends’ to be the first thing mentioned. I want that to be the first thing mentioned. And I will live the rest of my life to prove it.”
