The American-Canadian actor, best known for his role as the sarcastic Chandler Bing on “Friends,” tragically died in an apparent drowning in his hot tub. Following his passing, one of Perry’s friends spoke about the importance of pickleball to the actor.

Amid praise for his comedic brilliance, kindness and ability to persevere through significant personal challenges, Matt Manasse revealed that pickleball serves as an outlet for the award-winning star and is a tool he uses to stay sane.
The pickleball coach, who has been friends with the award-winning star for two years, stated:
“He thought it was something that could help his recovery and he did a great job. He liked it. He goes out five times a week, [and] will always talk about it. [He] being better, always making everyone laugh. He’s competitive, just a genuine, good guy — cares about everybody.”
Known as the “Pickleball Coach to the Stars,” Manasse instructs his clients at Riviera Country Club, a private members’ club located in Pacific Palisades, near the late Hollywood star’s home in the Los Angeles area.

In fact, Perry had a pickleball match at the club just hours before he was found dead in his nearby home. For Manasse, it was no surprise that the “Fools Rush In” star was in the ring that morning.

In the episode titled “The One with Rachel’s Other Sister,” Ross [David Schwimmer] and Rachel [Jennifer Aniston] argued over who would have custody of their daughter, Emma, should they die. As it plays out, Amy, Rachel’s older sister portrayed by Christina Applegate, insists that she will be the one to take care of Emma.
However, since Amy is not involved in Rachel’s life, the pair revealed that Monica and Chandler — played by Courteney Cox and Perry, respectively — will be responsible for Emma should anything happen to Rachel or Ross.
