Starring in a sitcom takes a lot of time, which is one reason the reboot of Mayim Bialik’s first sitcom, “Blossom,” has apparently been shelved. Just last month, the actress revealed that the entire cast of the 90s sitcom was interested in doing a reboot.
Last month, Bialik told Variety that series creator Don Reo had completed a script for a new pilot and that the entire cast was interested in returning. “The show was supposed to be Catcher in the Rye about a girl, which is incredible,” Bialik said. “And we want to do an incredible reboot. We want to make one cam.”

He also added, “All the actors are on board,” most likely referring to Joey Lawrence, Jenna Von Oy, and Michael Stoyanov, as the three stars made guest appearances on “Call Me Kat” last year.
“My schedule isn’t open enough to think about it yet, but Don and I are finally ready to have more meaningful plans around it. And people ask me all the time about it,” Bialik told Variety. “You know, we were an incredible show about a girl at the time. There were no network shows about girls. Everyone said, ‘Nobody’s going to watch it.’ And here we are.”

Mayim Bialik and Don Reo have been working on a reboot as early as 2021. At the time, he told Entertainment Weekly that they “have a limited reboot that we want to do.” However, they admitted that they “faced a lot of problems to get our network.”
