MC Stan was born Altaf Shaikh (also known as Altaf Tadavi) on Monday, 30 August 1999 (age 23; in 2022) in Pune, Maharashtra. His zodiac sign is Virgo. He grew up in the Tadiwala Road neighborhood of Pune. He completed his 12th standard from a school in Pune. According to MC Stan, he was unable to continue his studies after finishing school because of his popularity. When he was 12 years old, he started performing Qawwali. His brother introduced him to rap when he was in 6th standard. Growing up, MC Stan listened to many American music artists, including 50 Cent, Eminem, Young Thug, Lil Wayne and more. After they broke up, MC Stan shared his home address on social media after which some of his fans showed up outside his house, some of them even threatened to rape him. To take revenge, he posted the address of MC Stan’s residence on his social media. Reportedly, after she sent her address, MC Stan sent her manager Vardhaman Mehta along with two other men to assault her. In an interview, while talking about the incident, he said,
I also posted the home address of MC Stan and his manager Vardhaman Mehta on my Instagram account with a video. In revenge, he contacted the Santacruz police station and filed a cognizable complaint against me for posting his address. On February 21, I went to the police station with two of my friends after we were called. Mehta was there with his friends. As we returned home, Mehta and his friends Aakash and Sunny followed us on the bike. They stopped the car, verbally abused us, kicked and beat us and also took my iPhone and smashed it.”

He was injured in his nose and face. Somehow, he managed to get to the police station to file a complaint against MC Stan, but they refused to do so. Santacruz Police registered an FIR against Vardhaman Mehta, Aakash, and Sunny on March 3, 2022; however, no one was arrested. In an interview about the 2022 TV show Bigg Boss, when he was asked if he will find romance on the show, he replied that he has a girlfriend outside the Bigg Boss house.

He started his career as a rapper with the song ‘Wata’ in 2018. In 2019, he released his second song, ‘Khuja Mat,’ which turned out to be a breakthrough for him.
