McDonald’s leaves man ‘sweating and shaking’ after disgusting burger surprise has him ‘vomiting’: ‘Wrecked’

The after-effects of the disgusting McDonald’s shock are still haunting a man who indulged in a fast-food weekend.

Australian man Anton Vallely was putting on a Quarter Pounder at about 2am on Saturday morning after a few drinks, but his enjoyment of the meal was short-lived.

In the dark, he took about three bites of the burger before stopping to investigate the source of the suspicious taste with his phone’s flashlight.

What he saw were two loaves of bread that looked only half-baked.

“I was sweating and shaking,” Mr Vallely told news.com.au, who said he felt “wrecked” after eating the burger, which he bought from the Coolum store on the Sunshine Coast.

Almost immediately after Mr Vallely – who plays in a band – started eating the burger, he claimed to feel a strange sensation in his throat.

After realizing what he had eaten, he said he started throwing up.

“I feel like there’s a difference in my singing as well from vomiting,” he said.

“I was sick as soon as I woke up and now my throat feels weird and I’m sweating.”

Mr Vallely said he was concerned that other consumers, including pregnant people, could be seriously injured if they ate the burger he was served.

“It’s not right and it’s not acceptable,” he said.

He called the store to tell them it sold him a raw burger then followed their instructions to hold it until he could take it back.

Mr. Vallely took the burger back to the store so it could investigate.

He said he has been offered a refund and replacement but said he has been put off eating from the fast food restaurant for now.

Although he was knocked out by the burger, he said he wasn’t well enough to warrant a visit to the doctor.

“I don’t think it’s that bad. I’m not dead or anything, but I just thought it was worth saying something,” he said.

A friend who was with him at the time was served a cooked burger, he said.

A McDonald’s spokeswoman said it had received Mr Vallely’s complaint.

“McDonald’s takes food safety seriously and follows strict processes and procedures to ensure the quality of our food,” they told news.com.au.

“We can confirm McDonald’s Coolum Beach received a complaint about an undercooked beef patty on Monday, November 27.

“We immediately investigated the claim and offered the customer a full refund and replacement food.

“We take such complaints very seriously and will continue to work with the restaurant on any necessary action.”
