Producer Kevin Turen, who produces films and television shows such as Idol and Euphoria for HBO, died at the age of 44, survived by his wife Evelina Turen. The couple reportedly got married on July 2, 2012. However, they never elaborated on how and when their paths crossed for the first time.

One of Kevin’s friends referred to the producer as one of Hollywood’s “brightest stars” following his unexpected death. “Despite his many achievements in Hollywood, Kevin’s greatest passion is his family and friends,” he said. Kevin produced Ti West’s critically acclaimed horror films X and Pearl and Pieces of a Woman, which earned Vanessa Kirby an Academy Award for Best Actress, as well as the hit HBO series Euphoria. Additionally, he served as an executive producer for the television program The Idol, starring Lily-Rose Depp and Abel Tesfaye, better known as The Weeknd. He produced several feature films, including Operation Endgame, written by Sam Levinson, the man behind Euphoria.
Other credits for Kevnin include the Richard Gere film Arbitrage, the Robert Redford film All Is Lost, and two more Levinson films, Assassination Nation and Malcolm & Marie. He recently contributed to Euphoria and The Idol, as well as the Nicolas Cage and Pedro Pascal film The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent.
Kevin, who was born on August 16, 1979, in New York City, attended Columbia University to study cinema before moving to Los Angeles.
