Rocky’s grandfather, Bob Lombardi, was a famous football coach. People refer to him as having built a football legacy in his bloodline. Bob died on May 28, 2021, after being born on June 3, 1938. From 1976 to 1978, he was the head football coach at the University of Chicago. He met his wife, Melinda, at Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois, where she was a football coach and the daughter of the athletic director.
