According to the Grammy Winner, he wanted to shoot the visuals outside of the United States, but hurricane season stopped those plans. So they chose to shoot in Malibu and went to extreme lengths to make sure it was a well-kept secret.

The 30-year-old songwriter shared, “Malibu always [has] paparazzi and everything, so we hired about 20 guards, 15 guards just guarding the whole area.” He also mentioned that they use geofencing, which issues an alert when a mobile device enters a mapped and predetermined location.
