In recent months, the singer has been embroiled in a heated court case with rapper Tory Lanez, which appears to have contributed to his decision to take a break from the music industry.
The “Sweetest Pie” creator was reportedly assaulted by Lanez in 2020 during a heated argument that led to the male rapper firing a gun at Megan’s leg.
A jury subsequently found Lanez guilty in December 2022 of one felony count of assault with a semi-automatic weapon and one felony count of carrying a loaded firearm without a license. Additionally, he was found guilty of a second felony count of negligent discharge of a firearm.
