It looks like the legal battle between Meghan King and her ex-husband Jim Edmonds is coming to an end.
The American TV personality recently removed two protective orders against her Edmonds while maintaining that the termination of her protective order does not mean she will be in danger.
King and Edmonds separated in October 2019 after five years of marriage, although their divorce was not finalized until May 2021.
Meghan King Denies Two Orders of Protection Against Her Ex-Husband
People magazine confirmed that two protective orders initially filed against her ex were rejected by King’s lawyers. One order was granted against Edmonds, while the other, a requested child protection order, however, was not.

Revealing details of the dismissal to the publication, King said, “As I continue to heal, I’ve become enlightened and more aware of what I’ve been through and how to deal with it. Let’s just say I will remain protected and safe with a binding document that cannot be accessed by the public.”
Additionally, after the firing, Edmonds representative Steve Honig expressed his thoughts on the protective order.
“Jim looks forward to putting all this nonsense behind him as he begins his new life with Kortnie and continues to focus on the needs of his children,” the statement said, referring to Edmonds’ fiancee, Kortnie O’Connor.
Honig continued, “There is no threat, which is why Meghan does not need any protection order.”
The reality star previously filed for a temporary restraining order against Edmond alleging verbal abuse and the order was granted.
Meghan King Gets Restraining Order Against Ex Jim Edmonds
As The Blast previously reported, the “Real Housewives of Orange County” alum obtained a temporary restraining order against the former baseball player in St. Louis County, Missouri, and it was granted.
Through the obtained documents, the reality star claims that the American baseball player subjected her to constant and consistent verbal abuse.
She revealed that the abuse came in the form of texts, on the parenting app Family Wizard, and often through Edmonds’ lawyer, withdrawing the terms they agreed to in the parenting plan “regarding conduct towards” each other.
The documents also allege that the former Chicago Cubs player thought his “celebrity status in this city” could allow him to “ignore previous court orders, parenting plans, and co-parenting, without consequence,” and that he “protected” the situation “with a closed file and personal hearing.”
The restraining order comes months after Edmonds called King out for lying about their son’s condition on social media. The 37-year-old “Bravo” star, in an Instagram update, revealed to her fans that one of their twins, Hart, has Cerebral Palsy.
King explained in the post that the 4-year-old struggled with potty training and learning other skills as a result of his condition.
For this, the retired athlete slammed the single mother for lying about their son’s condition, saying she missed things.
‘RHOC’ Alum Talks About Relationships And Her Own Sexuality Spectrum
Earlier this week, King, who has had three failed marriages, opened up about his decision to keep his relationship out of the media for now. According to him, he does not want to be measured by them.

She shared her new resolution during an appearance on “The Tamron Hall Show,” saying, “I’m done with relationships on social media. I don’t want to be defined by them. You Google my name, and you see all these relationships. I’m done with that. I think, most of the time I’m dating, my life scares people.”
When asked if he was in a relationship, King said he was, but he didn’t elaborate. “That’s why I made a podcast, to talk about it. But no name will be named,” he said.
Recently, King relaunched his podcast, “Intimate Knowledge,” after a hiatus of more than a year. In an episode with Nev Schulman, the two talk about relationships.
The conversation begins with them revealing that the two of them have dated in the past, but unfortunately, there have been no sparks since then. The chat then turns to open relationships and ethical non-monogamy. Here, the podcast owner mentions that his upbringing may have played a role in determining his current dating life.
“It’s interesting because the way I grew up was very traditional — along the way, I went to Catholic school,” she told Schulman. “But I’ve been friends with women, and I’m not a lesbian. I must be somewhere on the gay spectrum. I mean, all of us, everyone is.”
