While Halloween may not have been memorable for Meghan King, the proud mother of three has already moved on to Christmas — the season of matching outfits and pajama photo shoots. The 38-year-old recently reminisced about family celebrations when she was younger.

The star took to her Instagram page to post a fun photo with her children all dressed in the colors of the season, red and white complete with a Santa Claus hat on her daughter’s head. Pictured with her three children, Aspen, Hayes, and Hart, she reminisced, writing:
“I’ve always loved matching family outfits. Even as a little girl, my cousin Celia and I would go to the fabric store and pick out the trendiest 90s fabrics (the smaller and more floral, the better), and my Aunt Cindy would cut out the patterns and sew. our matching outfits for the family Christmas party.”
The TV star added that she would twirl around the room with a Shirley Temple drink in hand as she tried hard not to slip out of her “half-size-too-big kitten heels” because of the slippery tights her mum made her. She notes that history repeats itself when she sees her little girl excited to match her down to “the lip gloss in her purse.”
King closed the caption by posing a question to his followers, “What is it about matching outfits that bring an event together? Do you have a family tradition that you carry on from generation to generation?”

Based on the picture, the mother of three looks very happy and will probably have her children for Christmas. However, that wasn’t the case for Halloween, which The Blast noted that “The Real Housewives Of Orange County” alum spoke about their absence and why she doesn’t feel too bad about it in an Instagram video posted to her page.
“I want to talk about what it’s like not having my kids on Halloween,” the video begins as she goes on to explain that after being sad at first, she was treated to a massage courtesy of her friend, and she’s starting to feel better. Since she couldn’t see her children, she asked her friends to send pictures of their children to feel better, where things became clearer.
The 38-year-old explained, “My friend Kourtney texted me, and she said it was just a horrible vacation; the child is very upset and having a meltdown,” he suddenly remembered that “Children are troublesome on holidays.”
Reflecting on her own experience before they left for their father, she said, “I couldn’t do all the activities with my kids in one weekend because they lost their minds,” the podcaster recounted. “They’re tired and overzealous and exhausted from their adrenaline rush.”

She later insisted that she wasn’t mad about not having them with her as she insisted, “I think we as mothers, especially single mothers, build up in our minds that we lose these traditions, these experiences.”
The podcaster added that instead of thinking about not being with them, new traditions can be made, and “at the end of the day, it seems, the holidays are a lot and taking it off our shoulders is just kind of relaxing. Really, it’s kind of all about the pictures until the kids have enough big. It’s not that bad after all.”

The Blast reports that the blonde beauty got a sweet bonding moment with her little one after missing them on Halloween but had some health setbacks. In four photos posted on his Instagram, the entrepreneur is lying in bed with his two babies, making funny faces in front of the camera, dressed comfortably.
As for why they were in bed, the “Resale Royalty” guest star explained that she had a stomach ache, adding, “It’s no surprise that my sleep was interrupted by my daughter complaining of a stomach ache at 1:45am 🤦🏼 ♀️. But we all wake up healthy! Freeze the musical, here we come.”
