Prince Harry and Meghan Markle took some time to enjoy the NBA basketball game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday.
The couple appeared on the jumbotron to cheers from thousands of game-goers, who encouraged them to kiss, but Markle playfully brushed off the prince’s approach, grabbing his arm instead.
With King Charles III’s coronation ceremony fast approaching, it has been confirmed that Markle will not be attending, instead opting to stay here to celebrate son Archie’s birthday.

The royal couple attended an NBA basketball game, where Markle, 41, lightly rebuffed Harry’s urges for a kiss.
At one point during the game, the Sussexes appeared on the big screen and were cheered on by thousands of fans for a kiss, but the former “Suits” star chose to reach for Harry’s arm instead of going for it.
For the outing, Markle wore a pink Sarah Staudinger linen suit jacket with tailored shorts, while Harry wore a navy blue suit with a white shirt and white shoes.

Despite being lighthearted, the couple was still busy with PDA as they cuddled up to each other.
The “Harry & Meghan” star wasn’t the only celebrity to grace the game. Other A-list celebrities in attendance included Kim Kardashian, Adam Sandler and Sean’ Diddy’ Combs.

A source told Sun that the Duke of Sussex is “desperate” to return for the coronation and spend quality time with his family. The prospect of mending strained relations among the royals looks promising as sources claim there is a “willingness and desire to mend on both sides.”
According to the news outlet, King Charles is “delighted” with his son’s decision and “understands” Markle’s absence.

The letter was reportedly sent to the British monarch in response to his explosive 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey, in which he stated that a member of the royal family speculated about how dark his unborn son’s skin would be.
Source confirms to Page Six of the correspondence between Markle and King Charles, said, “Yes, there is correspondence, there are letters back and forth from the Duchess of Sussex to the king.”
However, the source insists that the communication took place two years ago and is not the reason Markle is not attending the upcoming coronation.
“The Duchess of Sussex is living her life in the present, not thinking about the correspondence of two years ago relating to conversations of four years ago. Any suggestion to the contrary is false and frankly absurd. We encourage the tabloid media and various royal correspondents to stop the circus that exhausting that they themselves created,” the source told the media.

According to a source close to the duchess, per telegraph, a conflict between the coronation date and Prince Archie’s fourth birthday was the “main reason” for his absence.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have previously stated that they would put their children ahead of any royal duties (something Prince Harry has repeatedly accused the royal family of failing to do).
Markle was also reportedly unhappy with the lack of resolution to her concerns about certain aspects of royal life, which prompted her to commit suicide.
