Meghan McCain strikes again with one of her bold looks, and this time on the second season premiere of “And Just Like That,” a spin-off from the classic, “Sex And The City.”
The hypercritical author who initially panned the first season of the comedy series expressed his disappointment that the show did not live up to the original series produced in 1998.
Meghan McCain Goes On Angry Tirade About ‘And Just Like That’
The former “View” co-host, who once revealed that his enjoyment involves watching series, had the opposite of a happy experience after watching the second season of “And Just Like That.”

In a recent Daily Mail column, McCain shared his unapologetic opinion about the show not living up to the standards he envisioned. “And just like that… I can’t watch another second of this lazy, waking up,” he began.
He explained his dislike: “The action lacks everything that made the original series great; sharp dialogue, interesting characters, and a plot that deals with taboo topics that mainstream American entertainment never touches.”
He tagged the new show as being about the “trans, cis, white, black” labels. The columnist noted that when Kim Cattrall’s character made a surprise return to the show, she “jumped” in anticipation of finally getting the series she’d been craving.
He stated, “Samantha (the character on the show, played by Kim Cattrall) wasn’t in the first season of the sequel, but if Cattrall’s authentic, offensive, offensive character is back, so am I. He won’t stand for this progressive nonsense.” “I can’t wait,” he added.
However, to his surprise, he did not give up when he watched the show. Conveying his thoughts, he continued, “Now, I wish I had. The creatives behind the series have learned nothing. Chances are, they’re content to milk this brand for all it’s worth and destroy it in the process. But what’s worse is that they demean the marginalized groups they claim to represent.”
Breaking down the roles played by each cast member, McCain analyzes their importance in the play and mentions each character’s weaknesses.
He said, “Charlotte (Kristin Davis) does nothing but worry. And Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) is in Los Angeles with her non-binary partner Che Diaz, a stand-up comedian doing a sitcom.”
The author of “Dirty Sex Politics” notes how each character gets their marginal plot development. “She wants to cheat with her estranged husband. Lisa is trying to raise money for her documentary. “Seema is dating a cheating man and fighting with her hairdresser,” explained McCain.

He continued to express his disgust at the nudity contained in the series. He observed, “But Miranda and Che are completely naked, breasts out, squirming in a hot tub, in the middle of the day in Los Angeles. That’s it in the first few minutes. And if you think that’s a lot, wait.”
McCain noted that although the story centers around the main character, Che, who happens to be a new addition to the cast and uses plural pronouns, “is reduced to nothing more than a stereotype.”
“In the first season, Che was portrayed as a hyper-aggressive, non-binary queer. In the second season, clearly seeing how ridiculous that is, Che gets annoyed with the wardrobe department of their new tv show when they try to dress them up in cheesy, flashy blazers.”
Indirectly questioning the competence of the directors, McCain presented a feasible proposal; he asserted, “It would be great if the producers let actress Sara Ramirez explore the character of Che and explain why Miranda moved across the country, leaving behind her husband, Steve, and son, Brady.”
Criticizing the series, he declared, “This season, like the last, feels like a soulless exercise in ticking off a wake-up checklist. The bottom line is that ‘Sex And The City’ is leading American culture. ‘And Just Like That’ is desperately chasing the world which has passed.”
She conclusively added, “It’s nothing more than a 50-year-old progressive white woman’s panic attack – a ‘Woke for Dummies’ guide. I hope the actors and producers all enjoy their paychecks; someone has to get some enjoyment out of this experience.”
