Melania Trump joins fellow former first ladies in rare public appearance at Rosalynn Carter’s funeral

Melania Trump joined her former first lady in a rare public appearance while attending Rosalynn Carter’s funeral.

Trump attended a private honors service on Tuesday wearing a tweed coat that featured a small belt that cinched his waist and ran down his mid-calf, revealing his bare legs and black heels.

She held black leather gloves and styled her hair in loose curls.

Along with Trump, former first lady Michelle Obama, Laura Bush and Hillary Clinton were also present at the Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church in Atlanta.

Obama wore a black turtleneck and matching pants with a black blazer over it. She slicked her hair back into a ponytail and accessorized the outfit with black kitten heels and silver chunky hoops.

Although he was unable to speak at the service, their daughter, Amy Lynn Carter, read a letter he wrote to his late wife 75 years ago while serving in the Navy.

“Honey, every time I’m away from you, I’m so excited when I come back to find out how great you are. As I left, I tried to convince myself that you really weren’t, couldn’t be as sweet and beautiful as I remembered. But when I see you, I fall in love with you all over again. Does that seem strange to you? It’s not to me. Goodbye My Love. Until tomorrow,” he read.
