In her touching memoir, she reminisces about the man’s gestures and kind deeds, highlighting his lasting impression on her. The late actor, who went missing in January during a climbing expedition on California’s Mount Baldy, was recently officially declared dead.

“Julian Sands. I met you on the set of Rose Red in 2000. A Room With A View is a movie I’ve seen dozens of times, and I adored you in it. I’m so nervous I can barely talk to you. When I finally told you what the film/you meant to me, I was struck by your humility, your lack of ego, your absence of any grandeur.”

The “Heavenly Creatures” noted that their friendship quickly developed, with the “Warlock” actor showering her with various gifts, including “a big, scary non-fiction book and a CD of classical music.”
Lynskey revealed that Sands even took her to the opera after discovering she had never seen it before, recalling other memorable moments such as introducing her to the “2001” album Dr. Dre and agonizing over the choice between a Billy Bragg and Bright Eyes concert. In conclusion to his heartfelt note, he wrote:
“You are kind and patient and a lot of fun. We lost touch, but I never forgot your kindness, and I never will. My heart goes out to your family and loved ones. ❤️.”

On Tuesday, the San Fernando Sheriff’s Department confirmed that the body found by hikers near Mount Baldy belonged to the “Blood and Bones” star. The official statement reads:
“The process of identifying the bodies located in Mt. Baldy on June 24, 2023, was completed, and positively identified as Julian Sands of North Hollywood, 65 years old. The manner of death is still under investigation, pending further test results.”
They also expressed their gratitude to the volunteers who dedicated their efforts to finding the voice actress for “Heidi 4 Paws”.

Lynskey shared that she has worked with two famous actors who decided not to continue their friendship for various reasons, which had a profound impact on her. The mother of one recalled:
“I did this movie with this actor, and when we finished, I said, ‘Oh my gosh, I’m so glad I met you and we had this friendship,’ and he said, ‘Yeah, I’m not friends with actors. I not friends with actors.’”
The revelation from the unnamed actor left him stunned. After spending several weeks forming an emotional bond on set, she believes that a genuine friendship is developing. “And I was like, ‘What?’ I was very surprised by it,” Lynskey shared with Horowitz before referring to the person’s identity as “someone who has been on the job longer than I have.”
The actor insists that this isn’t the first time he’s had the frustration of losing a friendship, revealing that he used to be very close to Kate Winslet – his co-star in the murder mystery film “Heavenly Creatures.” The “Candy” star stated:
“When I broke up with Kate, it was more heartbreaking than any breakup I’ve ever been through. It was very painful, and there was no particular incident; it’s just that he became this internationally famous movie star, and his schedule became very demanding. Suddenly, he’ll be in Los Angeles but won’t have time to connect.”
The women bear no ill will towards each other, with Lynskey admitting that the loss of their relationship was gradual.
