A week ago, the mother of one took to her Instagram to speak candidly about how grief should be approached in society. In a post shared with his thousands of followers, he combed through some recent photos of himself and the late singer.

Each picture shows the couple with each other and in good spirits. The photo album was placed on the marble surface, while Martin’s nails were coated in white and lilac nail polish.

The heartwarming clip is set to cool tunes and punctuated with knowledgeable quotes. In the caption, after noting that it’s been five months since her fiance passed away, she gave her piece on the topic of grief, writing:

“Sadness is not a disorder, a disease or a sign of weakness. It is an emotional, physical and spiritual need, the price you pay for love. The only cure for sadness is to be sad.”

Below the post was filled with condolences and support from his followers. One fan wrote, “Still sending ? you are always family to his true fans ❤️.” Another fan commented, “??the grief never ends, but the album is so beautiful, and I know Prince will enjoy seeing his parents’ love. “You have been through so much; you deserve safety & rest ❤️,” said a concerned fan.
