Singer Melissa Etheridge has opened up about the loss of her son, who died of opioid addiction.
During a chat on the podcast, Etheridge stated that she has finally seen the bright side of things since Beckett’s death. She previously said that she does not take any “guilt” or “shame” over her son’s death, stating that she “made her choice.”

“You have light in the dark and positive and negative… good and bad. Yet it is all one thing, and that one thing is love. When I lost my son, I learned how great my capacity for love is,” said Etheridge, per Fox News.
She continued, “Not just loving him and missing him… being OK but loving myself enough to not have the depression and the guilt and the intense shame, which a lot of families who have lost loved ones to opioid addiction have, it’s just that the shame is too much. big It’s big.
