The gunman believed to be behind the killings of three women and a 13-year-old girl during a shooting spree across Memphis Saturday night was found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The Memphis Police Department said Mavis Christian Jr., 52, was a “known relative” of the victim and described the horrific rampage at three different homes as a domestic violence situation.
The police have sent to the first location on Field Lark Drive, where they found the teenager and another victim dead at the scene shortly after 5:40 p.m.
A 15-year-old female was rushed to Regional One Health in critical condition.
An hour later at 6:40 p.m., the third victim was found and pronounced dead at 5050 Warrington Road, located about 13 miles from the first shooting.

Police found Christian Jr. died in a white Chevrolet Malibu early Sunday.
“As a father, it breaks my heart,” said MPD Public Information Officer Christopher Williams outside the scene of the first shooting. “This is someone’s child, sister, aunt. These are people, real people. We have to do better. We must do better.
“As a community, it needs all of us. Not just the police, not just the community, but we have to work together to stop this senseless act of violence. We are tired of it. Society is tired of it.
