Michael Cera Sparks Skin-Deep Mystery About Being Mastermind Behind CeraVe

“Superbad” and very humid.

Did actor Michael Cera have anything to do with starting the skincare brand CeraVe? He’s probably alluded to the interesting tidbits of that information on more than one occasion, and podcast host Bobbi Althoff wants to get to the bottom of it.

During the latest episode of “The Really Good Podcast,” Cera set the record straight about being the mastermind behind the wildly popular skincare brand. Or is he?

Although Cera has been spotted here and there with CeraVe products in hand, people are abuzz with speculation that she is actually the mastermind behind the popular skincare brand. He has been spotted in drugstores marking bottles of CeraVe as well as distributing them on the streets of New York City.

So what’s the deal? That’s where Althoff comes in to clear up any confusion and speculation, or at least try to.

“You claim you started it,” Althoff told Cera about the CeraVe brand, to which he replied, “I don’t claim that but if you look at my name, my name is Michael Cera. I just said look at the name.”

Cera said that others say he started the brand and continues to deny that he had anything to do with the recent CeraVe conspiracy.

“I like to just say I have some skin in the game and kind of leave it at that,” he continued. “I use CeraVe. I think it’s a good product and I think it’s very hydrating. It has three important ceramides in it and a series of nourishing lipids, and I think it’s a good product but that’s about as far as I can go. .”

Althoff asks Cera how he knows all that information and he claims he doesn’t know why, but he “knows it.” He later said he wanted to “talk about a lot of other things, not just my product, I mean, not just CeraVe.” That’s when Althoff decided it was time to come clean and ask again if he actually had anything to do with starting the product.

“I appreciate your interview style, but I think I want to stay personal,” Cera replied. “Yes, there are rumors. I cannot be responsible for every rumour, every bad rumor about me. You know how the media spins things. You will experience it when you launch the product one day.”

As Cera danced around the topic Althoff was trying to get an explanation for, the conversation still hadn’t stopped. Althoff sternly asked again, “Did you or did you not invent CeraVe?”

Cera then withdrew from the conversation without giving any concrete answers. The world is left in the doldrums.

TikTok creator @haleyybaylee recently shared a video showing Cera signing some bottles of CeraVe at a drugstore.

“You’ve been asking for a skin care routine, so follow me to restock,” she begins her video. “Okay, I think it’s, is that Michael Cera? Wait, I think it’s Michael Cera.”

When Cera saw Haley, she just said, “Hi, nice cream here. Bye, thanks.” He then approached a shelf of CeraVe products and found that Cera had signed them, putting “Michael” right above the word “CeraVe” on the front of the bottle and a sticker of his face on each one.
