Michael Jackson, David Copperfield Among Big Names Revealed In Jeffrey Epstein ‘List’

On Wednesday, several court records naming friends and associates of notorious sex offender and financier Jeffrey Epstein were made available to the public.

The names of famous illusionist David Copperfield, the late singer Michael Jackson, and former president Bill Clinton have been revealed, according to court documents obtained by The Blast.

The controversial list of Epstein’s associates was released nine years after Virginia Giuffre filed a defamation case against her co-conspirator, Ghislaine Maxwell. This led to the naming of various individuals in depositions that now constitute the “list.”

As we reported, the document doesn’t include a “list” at all — but it does include some high-profile names mentioned. Additionally, it includes a list of people Maxwell says may have information.

Popular illusionist Copperfield is among the big names confirmed to be in the filing. A deposition made by Johanna Sjoberg, who was allegedly hired by Maxwell to perform sex acts on Epstein, was included in one of the documents obtained by Explosion.

Sjoberg claims that Copperfirled was present at dinner at Epstein’s house, where he allegedly “performed some magic tricks.”

“Did you see David Copperfield being a friend of Jeffrey Epstein?” Sjoberg was asked, to which he answered in the affirmative.

Sjoberg was also asked if Copperfield “ever discussed Jeffrey’s involvement with young girls with him”. “He asked me if I was aware that girls were paid to find other girls,” she replied.

He added in a deposition that Copperfield withheld certain details from him about the question. Sjoberg was also asked, “Did he say whether they were teenagers or 20, anything along those lines?” and he replied that the illusionist was not.

The famous singer and King of Pop, Michael Jackson was among the names revealed by Sjoberg in his deposition. She claimed that she met Jackson at Epstein’s Palm Beach home.

“Did you meet anyone famous while you were with Jeffrey?” he was asked. “I met Michael Jackson … at [Epstein’s] house in Palm Beach,” Sjoberg replied.

He was then asked if he ever “massaged” Jackson, to which he replied that he replied, “I didn’t.”

The late singer’s name appearing on Epstein’s list is cause for concern, as numerous allegations of child sexual abuse have tarnished his legacy.

David Copperfield Was Previously Involved In A Sexual Assault Scandal

In 2018, the famous magician was embroiled in a shocking scandal after being accused by a woman, identified as Brittney Lewis, of sexually assaulting her during her teenage years.

Lewis claims that in 1988 when she was just 17 years old, Copperfield drugged and sexually assaulted her after serving as a judge in a modeling competition she entered.

According to reports, Lewis stated that he had met Copperfield shortly after traveling to Atami, Japan, the site of Elite Model Management’s September 1988 “Look of the Year” modeling competition.

Lewis claims that shortly after winning the “Look of the Year” contest, Copperfield asked him to attend one of his upcoming shows in California when he returned to Utah. Because Lewis was still a minor at the time, Copperfield allegedly asked his grandmother, Patricia Burton, for permission for him to come see her.

According to the news outlet, Lewis claimed that he joined Copperfield in California, where he introduced him to his team. After showing it off, the couple checked into a hotel. At the hotel, there is a bar where Lewis claims Copperfield invited him.

Lewis stated that he had barely touched his drink when he saw him add something to it, per Wrap it up. He then asked her what she was doing, and she replied that she was just sharing. After taking a few sips of the drink, Lewsi said he passed out and barely remembers what happened that night.

She later recounted being sexually assaulted by the magician, claiming she could feel him kissing her, among other inappropriate things. When he woke up in the morning, Copperfield allegedly suggested he go home to his grandmother.

Copperfield subtly denied Lewis’ claims, claiming that he had been the victim of false accusations for years and would “weather the storm.”

“Three years and hundreds of stories were reported about false claims investigated by the FBI, where the end result was that the accuser was caught by law enforcement making similar false claims about another man,” he said at the time in a statement shared on his Instagram page.
