Commemorating Michael Jackson’s posthumous 65th birthday, his son Prince has taken to Instagram to share nostalgic photos of the iconic pop figure.
The image captures the King of Pop decked out in an all-black outfit consisting of a button-down shirt and leather pants. Her trademark black hair bounced down as she wore sunglasses.
With Bigi in her arms, the “Billie Jean” singer was flanked by Paris and Prince, who appeared to be engaged in some incendiary activity in the foreground. In his heartfelt caption,
The prince said, “Happy birthday father. I miss you and love you. You may be gone but not forgotten. You are in each of our hearts [sic] day.”
Growing up in the spotlight as the children of the “Thriller” singer, Prince, 26, Paris, 25, and Bigi, 21, have been under public scrutiny. Following Jackson’s death in 2009, the pressure on the siblings increased, with Paris delivering an unplanned speech at her father’s funeral aged just 11.

Despite their busy schedules, the siblings prioritize spending time together. Last October, Prince and Paris made an appearance at Radio City Music Hall to perform a performance by the cast of “MJ: The Musical,” a Broadway production showcasing 25 of Michael Jackson’s hits.
The two brothers honored their late father at the Tony Awards as “MJ: The Musical” earned four wins out of ten nominations. It took home the awards for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical, Best Choreography, Best Sound Design of a Musical and Best Lighting Design of a Musical.
At the event, Prince acknowledged their father’s impact on music, saying, “A lot of people seem to think our father, Michael Jackson, changed popular music forever. And who are we to disagree?”
He continued, per Today, “But what people may not know is that he loves musicals, in movies and on stage. That’s why we’re so pleased to introduce the evening’s first nominee for best musical, ‘MJ,’ which, using many of his iconic hits, looks at the complexity and brilliance of our father’s process.”
