These immigrants seem to have a better ride than some of the Brooklyn families they get for cash, food and clothing.
Authorities on Friday night towed at least five unregistered vehicles apparently used by immigrants that were illegally parked outside the city’s controversial tent shelter at Floyd Bennett Field, according to Assemblyman Jaime Williams (D-Brooklyn).
The wild scene — captured by Williams on video and shared on Facebook — included a white pickup truck with no license plates being pulled from a grassy area that is a federal park to the dismay of at least one immigrant seen pleading for access to the vehicle.
A minty Toyota Sienna with a Florida dealer plate was also shown parked illegally along a fence near a row of electric bikes.
Other vehicles in the lot also included two Toyota Sequoia SUVs, according to Williams.
“This is crazy,” Williams fumed to the Saturday Post. “Where do they get the money from? [to buy vehicles]? This is bigger than all of us.”

“It’s weird,” added Williams, who represents southeast Brooklyn neighborhoods including Sea Park and Canarsie.
“People need to wake up and be aware of what is happening. These are the same people who knock on doors asking for food and money”
For the past few weeks, residents of Taman Laut – a mostly working-class neighborhood – have complained publicly about families of asylum seekers showing up on their doorsteps asking for spare change and other help. Several previously told The Post they feared for their safety.

Historic Floyd Bennett Field has been a dirty sight since accepting immigrants in November, Williams said, ripping the Biden Administration for “turning[ing] blind” to New York City’s struggle to deal with its immigrant crisis.
“Floyd Bennett Field, our national park, has become a dumping ground,” he said.
The vehicle was spotted by federal park police, who ordered them to be towed. The NYPD’s 63rd Precinct also responded, Williams said.
A message left with the Mayor’s Office was not returned, but the NYPD said it had no report on file about the towed vehicle.
