Mike Epps Tells Fans To Stay Buckled After Arrested With Loaded Firearm At Airport

Although he may face serious legal charges for taking a loaded gun through the airport, Epps has revealed his lack of drama. To that end, he posted a video that began with him giving a “shout-out” and apologizing to his fans for any “negativity” about the gun charge at the airport.

“I had a long night, I had a show in my hometown, and I totally forgot that I had my gun in my bag. Now, if you want to know why I carry a gun…I carry money all the time and wear stuff neat, and these men are here robbing people,” he explained.

After clarifying that he didn’t do anything “wrong,” the stand-up comedian added that he uses a gun to protect himself whenever he moves without his safety. “I’m still in a positive mood, and sorry that it happened. All I can tell you is that the world is crazy; stay connected,” the Gotham Independent Film Award winner concluded.

After Epps’ fans finished watching the Instagram video, they took to the comments to show their solidarity with him. While several people told her she didn’t need to explain herself to anyone, one fan wrote, “Better stuck with one, then [sic] without one.”

When the “Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins” actor walked down the aisle in 2019, his celebrity friends showed up for him in great style. According to The Blast, one star was Snoop Dogg, who would rather skip that year’s BET Awards than miss his friend’s wedding.

The “Drop It Like It’s Hot” rapper went to the beachside event with his wife Shante, who wore a chic black dress with a low neckline that emphasized her ample bosom. The entrepreneur matched her outfit with highlighted braids, silver jewelry on her neck, left wrist and fingers, and full face glam.

Dogg and Shante were joined by “The Upshaws” star Omar Ray and rapper TI, who appeared after presenting a posthumous award to the family of the late Nipsey Hussle at the BETs. The sweet ceremony, held at the Pelican Hills Resort in Newport Beach, California, saw Shante and her beau show off their dance moves at the reception.

She beat out other gospel contenders like Erica Campbell, Tori Kelly, and Kirk Franklin to earn the nod for “Blessing Me Again,” which she co-produced with Rance Allen.
