Miley Cyrus has opened up to reveal that the popular diet she follows is doing more harm than good. The singer, 31, used to be a vegan, but she made 202 headlines for telling podcast host Joe Rogan that her plant-based lifestyle wasn’t allowing her brain to “work properly.”
In a candid revelation discussing her health and fitness, Miley said that she followed the “strictest” vegan diet between 2013 and 2019, but in the end, it didn’t work for her.

Although vegans often supplement the lack of animal-based products with nuts, seeds, nuts and soy products, some experts feel that veganism is unhealthy.
“Milk is usually the largest source of dietary iodine,” Professor Givens at the University of Reading stated, adding: “Iodine is required for thyroid hormone synthesis so reduced thyroid hormone production can cause weight gain and fatigue.”
