Kelly Launches New Jewelry Collection Weeks After Memoir Release
In ‘Tell Me Everything,’ the “Parenthood” actor openly discusses his relationship with his late mother, Maureen.
Maureen is a young mother making a living as an adult entertainer, and Kelly’s father is former Aerosmith guitarist Rick Dufay.

The Blast recently shared some insight into Kelly’s grief over Maureen’s death from cancer in the late 2000s; Kelly starred in “Friday Night Lights” at the time.

Kelly opens up about her perception of Maureen growing up; He explained in detail in a recent People magazine interview.
“I spent a lot of my youth wishing my mother was something she wasn’t, wishing she was like other mothers,” Kelly said. “I can only appreciate how special he is as I get older. When it’s too late,” he added.
Maureen was diagnosed with colon cancer, and the disease eventually claimed her life; Kelly shares the brutal moments of ‘Mo’s illness and how she processed the loss of her mother in her memoir.
An important part of Kelly’s grieving process is to repair her relationship with Maureen. The two have been estranged, and Kelly has been working on her feelings about their relationship in therapy. Kelly later declines her mother’s invitation to Thanksgiving, Maureen’s favorite holiday; Kelly regrets his actions to this day.
“I was just like, ‘Ah, I’ll see you for the next one,’ knowing that there wasn’t going to be anything deeper. And I thought about that a lot. It still breaks my heart,” Kelly explained of her thought process. She cites the work as his reason for declining the invitation. (per Person, via The Blast)
Kelly Honors Her Family In New Jewelry Collection, With ABLE
Kelly’s first of two Instagram posts to launch her latest jewelry collection shared insight into the inspiration behind the famous pieces.
“Since losing my mother, I’ve wanted to dive deeper into the lives of the women around me,” Kelly wrote. “It is very important to me to know that what we do at ABLE directly contributes to employment and dignity for women around the world. I’m excited and grateful to release another collection of jewelry from the brave women who work at Nashville jewelry studio ABLE. “
She continued, “The first piece I designed for this collection was based on one from my grandmother. I wanted it to remind me that there are many seasons in our lives, and I hope this collection can be a reminder for others in the same way. All the time hard and happy, your loved ones and chosen family will always carry you through it all.”

The launch of Kelly’s new jewelry collection comes less than a week after she commemorated her memoir’s place on the New York Times Bestseller list!
“Look, Mom, we’re a NYT bestseller! ?✨ ♥️?♥️✨,” he wrote in an Instagram post. “A fancy new jacket with a NYT bestseller line on it… if there is a hardcover reprint, this will show on the new jacket. Wow, who knows? Certainly not me. very thankful.”
