Former NFL player Sergio Brown, who went missing after his mother was found dead in a river near his Illinois home, appears to have appeared in Mexico in a strange video posted to Instagram, claiming he thought his mother was on vacation and that she had been kidnapped by law enforcement.
The 35-year-old former player was believed to be no longer missing on Tuesday after he was spotted in a strange Instagram story shared on “intplayerwithapassport,” which appears to be an incendiary account for the player.
In the video, the former New England Patriots player broke the news that his mother Myrtle Brown, 73, was found dead near a creek behind her home.

He also made several “fake news” claims before issuing a rant, in which he accused the Maywood Police Department and the FBI of abducting him twice from his home.
“They kidnapped me twice from home. Maywood police department,” he said before his words became garbled and unintelligible.
“It must be the FBI or the Maywood police,” he said to the camera as loud music played in the background. “I thought my mom was on vacation.”

The video was allegedly taken and tagged with a Mexico City location before being deleted and reposted without the location, Deadspin reported. Its existence is still unclear.
Even before he and his late mother disappeared, Sergio Brown had been acting out of character for months, his neighbor Carlos Cortez told CBS 2.
Cortez said he last saw the mother and son on Thursday, but police told him they saw something unusual on the ringing doorbell camera.

“They saw him throwing trash, and they saw he had a bonfire where he burned all his clothes,” Cortez said.
The abnormal behavior appears to have become typical of Sergio Brown in recent months, Cortez said, adding that he spoke with relatives of the slain woman who said her son had been “unconscious.”
Police learned of the video that Brown allegedly shared on Tuesday.
