A Missouri high school teacher was placed on leave Wednesday after administrators learned she and her husband ran the OnlyFans porn site, according to reports.
St. John’s School District Clair launched an investigation into Brianna Coppage, 28, over her scandalous side gig shortly after the account’s uproar hit the community, about 55 miles southwest of St. Louis.
“It’s always like a cloud hanging over my head, like I never know when I’m going to be found,” Coppage told St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
“Then, about two weeks ago, my husband and I were told that people knew about it. So I knew this day would come.”
The freshman and second-year English teacher said she was motivated to launch her pornographic account over the summer to supplement her meager salary as an educator — who earned $42,000 last year, according to public records.
Coppage’s OnlyFans channel rakes in between $8,000 and $10,000 a month, which has since doubled following the news of his suspension.

District Superintendent Kyle Kruse told the outlet in a statement that the district “was recently notified that an employee may have posted inappropriate media on one or more internet sites.”
Coppage’s status with the district will depend on the outcome of an investigation conducted by an attorney hired by the district according to the police board, Kruse said.
“(The district said) they haven’t made a decision yet, but I’m just putting the pieces together that I’m not coming back,” Coppage said.
“I was very aware that I would probably never teach again, but that was a risk I knew I was taking. I’m sad about that. I miss my students.”
Although Coppage isn’t sure who denounced her, she believes the complaint came after she and her husband teamed up with another OnlyFans couple who had a larger following.

He originally opted for direct-to-customer service because he thought it was private enough to protect his identity.
Coppage insisted that he never recorded content or posted to the account while he was on school grounds.
“That’s like my completely, separate personal life outside of teaching,” Coppage said.
“There is an expectation that the teacher should be the moral leader of the students, and I don’t agree with that … I teach the curriculum. I teach students to read and write, and I do not guide them about my thoughts or beliefs. … And I can’t control what people think of me. I just know that who I am as a person, I haven’t done anything illegal. I am a good friend. I am a good family member. That’s all I can think of right now.”
Her husband did not face any disciplinary action from his employer, Coppage said.

Despite the backlash, the couple said they have no plans to move from their home in St. Clair, which has a population of about 4,800 people.
“I don’t regret joining OnlyFans. I know it can be taboo, or some people might believe that it’s shameful, but I don’t think sex work should be shameful,” says Coppage. “I just wish things had turned out differently.”
